Dramatic! Witty! Poignant! Ron Gabriel Paolillo’s Connecticut Premiere of THE LOST BOY exposes the bittersweet tragedy of James M. Barrie that evolves into a priceless literary gift to the world. Paolillo’s well-crafted story explores the psyche of James M. Barrie as he creates the little boy who would not grow up; interweaving two divergent tales as Peter Pan’s story mirrors the creator’s own. Best known as Arnold Horshack from television’s Welcome Back Kotter and now successful playwright, Ron Paolillo, will star as the character of James Barrie.

Ron Palillo (Actor, Playwright) a Connecticut native, is excited to be performing the lead role of James Barrie in The Lost Boy, a play he also penned. With over 250 major television shows to his name Ron is best known for his recurring role as Arnold Horshack on the television sitcom Welcome Back Kotter, as well as recurring roles in One Life To Live, and Ellen. Currently, Ron is scheduled to appear in the upcoming feature film version of Welcome Back, Kotter.
Ron recently completed the starring role in the award winning film short The Curse of Micah Rood.
He also stars in the soon to be released film Guardians.
On stage Ron has had starring roles in Broadway Backwards 4 on Broadway, Mozart, in Amadeus (Best Actor Award), Fagin in Oliver, Vito in P.S. Your Cat Is Dead (La Dramalogue Award) Sammy Shore in Hard Laughs, George in Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? Arthur in Camelot, I Hate Hamlet, The Fourposter, The Diary Of Adolf Eichmann (One man drama; Off-Broadway.) and countless more.
In addition to being an award winning actor, theater director, and children’s book illustrator, Ron Paolillo (actual last name spelling), has become a prolific playwright having penned the fantasy-drama The Lost Boy, which delighted critics, audiences, and the presidents of the J.M. Barrie Society of the U.S. and the U.K. His second play, Who Can Say from This And That? a comedy, recently had its first public reading at The Dramatist’s Guild to great enthusiasm with negotiations already underway for a major mounting. He has since written three more plays-the last- an historical drama dealing with the family of Sir Thomas More after his execution. Most recently he wrote his first commissioned screenplay.

Bob Dio (Actor/Director) has had a long show business career as an actor and director including stage, film, television and radio. He is a Screen Actors Guild and Actors Equity member and most recently completed a supporting role as Jeff Winters in the soon to be released motion picture, Harvest directed by Marc Meyers and starring Robert Loggia, Barbara Barrie, and Tony Award winning actress Victoria Clark. Bob also appeared in Everybody’s Fine starring Robert DeNiro, Drew Barrymore and Kate Beckinsale.
Regional stage acting roles include, Antonio Salieri in Amadeus (Ivoryton Playhouse), Jonathan Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace, Joseph in My Three Angels, Sidney Redlich in Bell Book and Candle, Rutledge in 1776, Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar, Vitorio Vidal in Sweet Charity, Herr Shultz in Cabaret, Count Dracula in Dracula, Flint in The Night of January 16th, Val in Laughter on the 23rd Floor.
Bob’s national and international television and screen acting credits also include The Scarlet Letter for PBS, The Deadliest Season for CBS, Coma for Warner Brothers, and Promises In the Dark for MGM. Regionally, Bob directed the riveting drama Inherit the Wind, and Simon Gray’s Stage Struck for the Ivoryton Playhouse. His other stage directorial credits include: Y In The World staged at the Bushnell’s Belding Theatre in Hartford, The Excellence Awards at the Mohegan Sun Casino hosted by television and stage star John O’Hurley, Death of a Salesman, I Hate Hamlet, Evita, Extremities, Front Street starring Ron Palillo, and You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown. Bob was also the supervising producer for the nationally syndicated, reality-based television series Real Stories of the Highway Patrol. He has also had the pleasure of directing television commercials starring the late Paul Newman, Phyllis Diller, Robert Vaughn and Hugh O’Brien. Bob has performed on countless radio and television commercials. Bob’s training includes voice at the Hartt School of Music, BA in Speech and Drama (University of Hartford), MFA program (University of Connecticut).
